This depicts some of the sensationally weird forms of sharks & their kin in ancient times. Check out the fellow at the lower right with what appears to be teeth on top of its head and dorsal fin. The flying, wacked out fishies are Iniopterygians. They're an extinct order of sharklike critters described by Dr. Zangerl & Jerry Case. They look like thorny little shark mouseketeers from hell. |
